The 75th Cairo Fashion & Textile event kicked off today, October 3rd, 2024, and it was a great success, featuring 500 local and international companies. The opening ceremony was led by Dr. Mohamed El Sherif, Chairman of Pyramids International Group, and General Sherif Al Mawardy, Chairman of the Egypt Expo & Convention Authority. There are exciting expectations that export contracts could reach up to $30 million during this special edition. This is a fantastic opportunity for Egypt’s fashion and textile industry to shine globally!

 

The Cairo Mother & La Pyjama exhibition has concluded its 74th edition, leaving an unforgettable impression! The event showcased over 205 Egyptian clothing companies and welcomed 500 international buyers from 15 countries. It is expected that the exhibition will successfully secure export agreements and contracts totaling nearly $10 million. Additionally, the exhibition featured workshops and lectures on the latest developments in the industry. Pyramids Group is proud to have participated in this successful event and looks forward to fostering even greater achievements in the future.

On the first day of the Saudi Fashion & Textile Exhibition, well-known businessman Majid Al-Hokair visited the event and was welcomed by Dr. Mohamed Sherif, Chairman of the Pyramids Group. Al-Hokair toured the booths, admired the fashion on display, and shared advice with young designers.

The exhibition, features over 300 exhibitors from 18 countries. It is Saudi Arabia’s largest fashion event and is expected to attract over 18,000 visitors. The event showcases the latest fashion trends and offers great networking opportunities. It is supported by the Riyadh Chamber of Commerce and several major companies like Cottonil and Italiano.

The Saudi Fashion and Textiles Exhibition launched yesterday in Riyadh, with notable figures including Egyptian Ambassador Ahmed Farouk, Pakistani Ambassador, Moroccan Deputy Ambassador Abdullah Al-Khaya, Turkish Commercial Counselor Mustafa Elker Ordum, and Vice Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Riyadh Chamber of Commerce Sheikh Mohamed Al-Murshid in attendance.

Dr. Mohamed Sharif, Chairman of Pyramids Group, highlighted the participation of over 300 exhibitors from 18 countries, emphasizing the exhibition’s role as a key international fashion platform. The opening also saw the presence of Mohamed Abdel Salam and Hassan Berkani.

Organized by the Pyramids Group and supported by major sponsors, the exhibition aims to attract thousands of specialized visitors and enhance connections in the fashion industry.

 

At a recent press conference held on Thursday, August 22, 2024, Pyramids Group unveiled the details for the highly anticipated second edition of the “Saudi Fashion and Tex” exhibition. The 2024 event will proudly feature Morocco as the guest of honor, showcasing its rich cultural heritage and innovative fashion trends.

The exhibition is scheduled to take place from August 27th to 29th, 2024, and will serve as a key commercial hub and a vital platform for manufacturers, distributors, and importers within the fashion and textile sectors, fostering business collaborations and networking opportunities. Dr. Mohamed Sharif, Chairman of Pyramids Group, announced that this year’s event will feature participation from 18 countries.

 

Dr. Mohamed El Sherif, Chairman of Pyramids International Group for Exhibitions, announced that the company will organize four major exhibitions in the coming months. Speaking at the preparatory meeting for the International Exhibition for Garment and Textile Machinery, he revealed that the first of these is the “Saudi Fashion & Tex” exhibition, specializing in textiles, garments, and carpets, scheduled from August 27 to 29. The exhibition will feature around 50 Egyptian companies and participants from 15 countries, reflecting the company’s recent international expansion.

The event featured esteemed attendees such as Ahmed Farouk, the Egyptian Ambassador to Saudi Arabia, and Salman Al-Atawi, Director of the Riyadh International Convention and Exhibition Center.

The conference commenced with a keynote address by Dr. Mohamed El-Sherif, Chairman of the Expo. Dr. El-Sherif highlighted the rapid advancements in Saudi Arabia’s fashion sector, aligning with Vision 2030. He outlined upcoming initiatives and agreements set to be launched at the Expo in August, aiming to attract new investments, establish factories, and create job opportunities in the fashion, textile, and supporting services sectors.

Dr. El-Sherif emphasized the Expo’s ambition to be the largest of its kind, showcasing the immense potential of the Saudi market and acting as a catalyst for new investments that will enhance the Kingdom’s non-oil GDP. He extended his gratitude to the Saudi government, the Riyadh Chamber of Commerce, and all relevant authorities for their support in facilitating the event.

Egyptian Ambassador Ahmed Farouk spoke on the flourishing trade relations and increasing investments between Egypt and Saudi Arabia. He reaffirmed his commitment to supporting Egyptian-Saudi investments, addressing obstacles, and providing opportunities for business partnerships between the two nations.

Salman Al-Atawi, Director of the Riyadh International Convention and Exhibition Center, expressed confidence in the Expo’s success, predicting significant achievements and advancements in the exhibition and conference sector within the Kingdom. He also noted the Expo’s pivotal role in fostering the growth of the fashion and textile industry.

The Riyadh Chamber of Commerce actively participated in the press conference, signing a partnership agreement to enhance cooperation and initiatives during the Expo, thereby supporting investments.

Additionally, Al-Daffa Company was announced as a sponsor of the Expo, with a partnership agreement signed between the organizing company, Pyramids, and Al-Daffa on the sidelines of the press conference.

As part of his tour to strengthen relations with the consulates of participating countries in the exhibitions organized by Pyramids Group in Erbil, Dr. Mohammed El Sherif met with Mr. Kerem Tuzlu, the Turkish Commercial Attaché, and Mr. Kemal Bahadır at the Turkish Consulate.

The meeting aimed to bolster mutual cooperation between the consulate and Pyramids Group and to facilitate the needs of Turkish companies participating in the exhibitions organized by the company, most notably the Erbil Building Expo, scheduled to take place from May 21st to May 24th, 2024.

During the meeting, discussions were held to enhance collaboration and address any logistical or operational requirements for Turkish companies. This effort is aimed at ensuring their successful participation in the Erbil Building Expo, which is recognized as one of the key events organized by the company in Erbil.

Dr. Mohammad El Sherif met with Mr. Madan Gopal, Consul General of India in Erbil, to reaffirm cooperation and facilitate the participation of Indian companies in the exhibitions organized by Pyramids Group. The meeting took place at the consulate’s headquarters and was also attended by:

This meeting was part of Dr. Mohammad El Sherif’s ongoing tour to strengthen relations with the consulates of participating countries in the exhibitions organized by Pyramids Group in Erbil.

Today marked the grand opening of the 9th Erbil Auto Show, the International Exhibition of Automotive, Spare Parts, and Car Accessories. The event, held at the Erbil International Fairground from February 29 to March 3, 2024, began with an impressive opening ceremony attended by distinguished guests:

  • Minister of Municipalities and Tourism: Sasan Othman Awni Habib
